PowerBait Floating Trout Worm Review

Floating Trout Worms are a great universal bait you can use in most instances instead of a real worm. It has trout in the name for marketing reasons only. You can use this to catch most freshwater fish. It has floating in the name because the bait itself is buoyant. It doesn't take much weight to sink it, so it is perfect for finesse fishing.

The consistency of the bait is a very supple, wiggly, soft plastic-like material. The exact material it is constructed of is not specified but it is neither a Gulp! style product or a PowerBait dough. Fish seem to eat it as readily as PowerBait dough.

The bait has a good falling action and will also swim slightly as you move it through the water. The bait comes attached like sausage links in the pack that you need to break apart. If you manage to find the exact head and tail, it comes to about 3 inches long. You can also easily rip or cut the worms down to a preferred size. Keep in mind the shape of the worm is asymmetrical and helps with the wiggling action. You can rig it as you would a real worm. It can also be fished statically / dead stick style.
